Colourful effects and some other terrific central performance by Tom Holland can't disguise the overblown and nonsensical neediness of the screenplay, which darts around Europe in a vain endeavor to newspaper over the cracks of an increasingly unfathomable plot. Verified reviews are considered more trustworthy by fellow moviegoers. This was a nice setup but the twist is abrasive. Spiderman got major new technical toys out of nowhere and made bad decisions for no discernable reason. There was not enough depth or substance to the villain, the action was mediocre, and eventually Spiderman's evasion of danger makes him feel invincible and takes abroad the feeling of suspense.

The plot was again too linked to the Avengers/Iron Human being films and pathetically unbelievable thanks to the pretend superhero, massive holograms, and glasses that requite you access to thousands of military drones. Tom Holland is still the best Spider-Man, and damnit all Zendaya is really winning me over. Those two are just really cute, and their developing relationship is charming as hell. That relationship and seeing Spidey try to fill Tony's shoes is great stuff.

Over on Metacritic, it’s a perhaps less enthusiastic 71, indicating the average score of those positive reviews. "At the very least, the film presents a Peter Parker who is relatively good at his job and doesn't consistently screw up to the point where you wish he'd hang up the costume before he kills someone," he stated. This movie did not surpass my expectations, but it did reach them. It reached my skyscraper high expectations, which is almost more impressive.

The film works not only as a third movie in the Tom Holland franchise, but as a beautiful conclusion to the Maguire and Garfield series that never got a proper sendoff. Even the Avengers movies can’t boast that, with Infinity War and Age of Ultron outside the top 10. No Way Home is currently rocking a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes with 46 critic reviews in. That may, and probably will change as more reviews roll in, but it’s impossible to get better than that as a debut figure.
That's more than high enough to land a "Certified Fresh" distinction from the review aggregator. According to Rotten Tomatoes, "movies and TV shows are Certified Fresh with a steady Tomatometer of 75% or higher after a set amount of reviews (80 for wide-release movies, 40 for limited-release movies, 20 for TV shows), including 5 reviews from Top Critics." Peter Parker's relaxing European vacation takes an unexpected turn when Nick Fury shows up in his hotel room to recruit him for a mission. The world is in danger as four massive elemental creatures -- each representing Earth, air, water and fire -- emerge from a hole torn in the universe. Parker soon finds himself donning the Spider-Man suit to help Fury and fellow superhero Mysterio stop the evil entities from wreaking havoc across the continent. Many of the reviews also describe this as the most "emotional" and "heartbreaking" Spider-Man film yet.
The ending was a practiced setup for the 3rd but the entire second half of the pic was disappointing. This was a dainty setup only the twist is annoying. The pacing was adequate, the acting was well done, the cinematography and visual effects were decent, and the soundtrack was fine. I am curious to see how things settle as more reviews roll in. You can’t really go anywhere but down from 100%, but given that the other two films scored above a 90%, and didn’t debut this high, I’d expect it to probably end up landing inside the top 5 when all is said and done. And I would not want to face the wrath of millions of angry fans if I was the first critic to give it a rotten score, because that’s how fandom works these days. It would be a far cry from Marvel’s last film, The Eternals, which at a 47% was the worst scored movie in MCU history, and it cements Spider-Man’s place as a massively successful part of the MCU with all three of its movies inside the top 10, and all above a 90% score.
The first movie had something of a villain reveal too, but they handled it in such a way that it really worked. On top of that, his motives and overall goals are a little difficult to follow. His missions were some of the ones I enjoyed the most in the Spider-Man games, and it allows for some truly mind-bending trippy visuals later in the film.
The ending was a good setup for the third but the entire second half of the motion picture was disappointing. Not everyone felt the same way, though, as a common criticism ofFar From Home is that it isn't as sleek asHomecoming, despite being incredibly entertaining in its own right. It's another solid, if not perfect, Spider-Man film. Since more reviews are bound to come barreling in over the next day or so,Far From Home's Rotten Tomatoes score will undoubtedly fluctuate. As of Thursday, June 27 at noon ET, the film shines bright with a 92 percent approval rating.

Jackson) and a mysterious new hero played by Jake Gyllenhaal. Reviews of Far From Homeso far highlight its cast, its action, and how it offers a light epilogue to the events of Endgame. The teen comedy stuff may still the best part, but for most it’s yet another essential entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The biggest issue this movie has is with its villain. I guess I won't spoil it, but really if you've read the comics, played the games, or just googled any of the character names of people in this movie you know who it is and yet they treat it like this big reveal.
